Michael Hambouz (Brooklyn, NY) (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and independent curator. Hambouz creates works commingling the familiar and the imagined as observed in his dreams and daydreams, referencing memories growing up as a first-generation Palestinian-American in the rural Midwest and experiences beyond living in New York City. Recent solo/two-person exhibitions include Future Fairs (New York, NY), Brooklyn Academy of Music (Brooklyn, NY), Chashama (New York, NY), and Kayrock (Brooklyn, NY). Hambouz is an avid supporter of the arts and social justice, contributing work to benefit auctions hosted by Luhring Augustine, Cheim & Read, Bridget Donahue, Honey Ramka, Yossi Milo, and Pioneer Works. His art and curatorial work has been featured in Artnet News, Hyperallergic, Vice, Create! Magazine, and Design Milk.
